Insanely Good Trader Joe’s Rosé Wines (Value out the Wazoo!)

5 Trader Joe's rosé wines

Insanely good Trader Joe’s Rosé wines!?!?!

Tell me more!

Don’t mind if I do!

I write about Trader Joe’s wines a lot. Seriously a lot!

Value Out the Wazoo?!?!

Well, value and taste are personal, so who knows?

I also wanted to mix up the titles I use for Trader Joe’s wines. This is my 11th post.

No matter how you look at it, the value of Trader Joe’s wines is beyond incredible if you choose the right wines.

The 5 rosé wines I am writing about were part of a six case haul I had made.

These five rosé wines were each under $7.50! Insane!

For those who don’t know, I do not have easy access to Trader Joe’s wines anymore. So when I go to one, I stock up!!

Yep! That’s 6 cases of wine.

Some are old favorites and some I will taste for the first time. The rosés from today’s post are in there somewhere.

There’s a post on this adventure. Oh yeah, I made a video too. It’s linked in the post.

Related posts are below. Check them out later. No need to ruin the flow.

I just made a YouTube video where I taste these 5 rosé wines.

I didn’t want to do a wine tasting alone on video so:

I volunteered my video editor to taste with me.

Here you go:

Watch now! Or Watch later!

Wildly unscripted and a lot of fun!

Watch at some point!

All wine tastings should be relaxed and a good time.

One of the highlights of the video is when I can’t open the screw top bottle.

This post has some of the details I didn’t mention in the video. My fellow taster didn’t care about them. You may not either.

Let’s go over each of them. Skim if you couldn’t care less.

No downside to learning a little. Just saying.

Time out for a little wine knowledge you may or may not need:

Color in wine comes from the grape skins.

Almost all rosé wines are made from red grapes.

Back to the wines:

All of them are totally worth the money.

Comparing them the way we did, some were more to our taste.

Do your own taste test. Best way to learn what you like!!

Feel free to comment and let me know which ones are your favorites!

Carayone la Rose rosé wine from Trader Joe's

Carayon la Rose

This rosé is from the Languedoc region of the South of France. It costs $7.49. It has 12.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). Delicious!!

Les Portes de Bordeaux rosé wine from Trader Joe's

Les Portes de Bordeaux

This is a rosé from Bordeaux, obviously. It’s in the name. The grapes they are made from must be allowed in Bordeaux. It also costs $7.49. The ABV is 11.5% Quite good. Not quite as delicious to us, but taste is personal. Absolutely well worth the price.

Pinot Grigio rosé wine from Trader Joe's

Pinot Grigio Rosé

This wine is made from the Pinot Gris grape in the Verona region of Italy. It costs only $6.99. The ABV is 12%.

The Pinot Grigio was a shocker for me!

Both my video editor and I loved it.

I don’t enjoy Pinot Grigio usually at all! One of my most popular posts is what fantastic wines to drink instead of Pinot Grigio.

What is also unusual is that the wine was made with Pinot Gris grapes. Pinot Gris is the grape that makes Pinot Grigio. Because the skin is sort of pinkish, they didn’t use red grape skins.

The flavor was not what I thought it would be at all. Delicious!

La Ferme Julien rosé wine from Trader Joe's

La Ferme Julien

The wine is made from grapes from the South of France. The price is $6.99 and the ABV is 12.5%.

We thought this wine was absolutely drinkable but nothing great. Personal preference.

Emma Reichart rosé wine from Trader Joe's

Emma Reichart Rosé

This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes. The price is $5.99 and the ABV is 11%.

Emma (as they refer to it at Trader Joe’s) comes in at the lowest in price and ABV.

This wine was perfectly drinkable. If I weren’t comparing it to some we liked better, I would have been very happy with it.

Want to get on my email list and get an insider’s guide to Trader Joe’s?

Well, why wouldn’t you?

Here’s a helpful hint:

When buying any wine, look at the back of the wine label.

back of rosé wine labels from Trader Joe's

There you go!

Enlarge if you want to actually see what is there.

You’re welcome.

The back of the label may tell you ABV (if it isn’t already on the front), what grapes are in the wine, whether to enjoy it with food or alone, level of sweetness, production stories, or something else whether helpful or not.

No downside to looking.

Of the five wines, only La Ferme Julien mentioned that it would be “best experienced with food.” So we tried it both alone and with cheese. We didn’t notice any difference in flavor.

Trying wine with different foods is a great way to discover for yourself what goes with what.

Comparing wines reveals so much!!
